Fly Tying Coaching Session

What a good evening fly tying. Tony and Gwyneth were excellent, again, and the youngsters picked up more knowledge and skills. Our Secretary got as much pleasure as the youngsters just need to get him on the water now.

Next up, on Thursday 28th February, we have got Howard Kelly (Matrix) who is going to show you how elastication of poles works and also float shotting. WE HAVE LIMITED PLACES so you must contact Lee on 07931 570581 to secure your place (this will work on a first come first serve basis).

And I hope you all enjoyed the evening and have learnt some new techniques.. I sure have… We will be seeing Colin again on 28th March for some more great coaching.

Advanced Group Receive Worm & Caster Training

Ramsbottom Juniors Advanced Group took to Bradshaw Hall Fisheries tonight on lake 9.
The juniors had their pens and paper at the ready to take notes on WORM and CASTER fishing methods which were presented by two fantastic anglers namely Dave Pimlott and Daz Shaw.

 cutting worms

All the juniors asked Dave and Daz lots of questions about worms and casters. They were all shown about how to prepair the bait, chop and hook the worms, how much to pot in and how to build your peg up.This is such a wonderful experience for the juniors to have and to learn so much in one night. Even the adults who attended learnt a few skills tonight.

rory

A massive thanks to Dave and Daz for the time they spent with the juniors. Hopefully they can put into practice what they have learnt tonight.
