What a fantastic day it was. We had over 60 children attend the free event and every one caught a fish. They all had a 30 minute time slot, where they were taught the basics on fishing. How to hook a maggot, how to hold the pole, how to land the fish and how to unhook the fish. The sun was shining all day and once the fishing slot was over there were other things to do around the lakes. We had fly fishermen with their rods showing how to cast a fly rod. We also had professional anglers showing how to fish the pellet waggler who were more than happy to pass on helpful advice. we also had the fun games of maggot racing.

Hopefully the same next year, I can’t wait.
